The last morning at Ngepi was an early one where the birds were my alarm. I couldn’t sleep any longer through their twittering and so I decided that an early morning hot shower under the last remaining light of the full moon was a good idea. From there we joined their top bird guide Christopher for a two hour bird walk in the surrounding area where we ticked off some serious ‘lifers’ in the area which was fantastic! His knowledge of the birds there is immense and he is definitely worth booking if birding is your thing.
We packed up camp slowly under the shady trees and then made our way East down the thin strip of land on the Trans Caprivi highway to Kwando Camp.
